Q: How can I receive artist promotional materials to share with my students?
A: Contact your StarPolish Presents Representative and promotional materials will be mailed to you within 48 hours. You may also download songs off of this website, along with the artist's stage plot and posters.

Q: Can I hold a date for our school for one of your artists?
A: Yes, once you put a date on hold that gives your campus the first right of refusal to the date.

Q: What does "First right of refusal" mean?
A:
First right of refusal means that if another school also wants your current date, your StarPolish Presents Representative will contact you about the date and give you 48 hours to decide on whether or not you want to confirm and contract the date. If you decide to release the date, it goes to the next school who is interested.

Q: What is the length of a typical set for your artists?
A:
Our Singer/Songwriters typically play 1 set for 60 to 75 mins. Our bands will typically perform for 75 mins. Longer sets are available, upon approval by the artist or artist's management.

Q: How do I get a contract?
A:
After you've had a discussion with your StarPolish Presents Representative about the specific date of the performance and you've agreed to a price, a contract will be drawn up and will be issued to you and/or your advisor from our office.

Q: Do we need to provide the requested materials in the artist's contract rider?
A:
Yes, especially the sound requirements listed in the rider - these are non-negotiable and are a binding part of the contract. If any of the catering items in the rider pose a problem to fulfill, please contact the artist or artist's manager to discuss substitutions prior to the performance

Q: Do we have to provide production (sound and lights)?
A:
Yes, you do need to provide production for our artists' performances. If your school does not provide production in-house, your StarPolish Presents Representative will be happy to assist you in finding a company that can provide you with sound and lights for your event.

Q: What happens if an artist cannot perform a scheduled date due to inclement weather, sickness, etc?
A:
In the event that an artist is unable to perform their duties due to an "Act of God", the performance will be rescheduled for a later date.

Q: Does a student or advisor need to meet the artist before show time?
A:
It is always good to have someone there to meet the artist and point out where they will be performing. Chances are the artist has never been to your campus before and will need some direction.

Q: How does our school pay an artist and do we pay him/her before or after the performance?
A:
We ask that schools pay the artists immediately following their performance in the form of school check. In most cases, the artists front expenses for travel to the campus for the performance, so it's very important for your school to have a check ready for the day of the performance.

Q: How can I obtain materials to use for promotional use and help promote the show?
A:
You may obtain promotional materials via the StarPolish Presents website under the artists individual page. You may also request additional materials at the time of contracting your date with your Starpolish Presents Representative.

Q: How can I submit my materials to be considered by StarPolish Presents?
A: The preferred way is to send us your and EPK to info@starpolishpresents.com. If you do not have an EPK you may send it to our office at:

Q: What do you look for in artists you represent?
A: First and foremost, we look for artists who possess great talent in performance, songwriting, and presentation. We prefer to work with artists who have a team behind them (i.e. a manager, publicist, street team, etc) that can assist them in striving towards an overall career vision. We also look at how often the artist is currently playing, at both colleges and clubs.

Q: When should I follow up on my submission?
A:
Please follow up by email (info@starpolishpresents.com) two weeks after you sent it, to make sure we've received it. After that, we will be in touch with you if we feel working together might be a good fit.
